Cheesecake

This is my mother’s cheesecake recipe. I am going to make this and will post photo’s once I do. But for now, I just want a safe place to keep the recipe before I lose it.

 

Crust:

 

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

5 T melted butter

1 T brown sugar

Optional: Nuts

Press into bottom of pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Let cool.

 

Cheesecake:

 

Blend:

24-oz room temp cream cheese

1 cup of sugar

1 t vanilla

1 vanilla bean

5 eggs (one at a time)

 

Pour into pan. Bake at 300 for 1 hour. Let cool

 

Sour Cream Topping:

Blend:

16-oz sour cream

1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 t vanilla

 

Add to top of cheesecake and place into 350 oven for 5 minutes. Let cool. Refrigerate.

 

Eat all of it.
